RE: Newbie w/ Sportster Question....
My suggestion is a 1200R model. the seating position is good BUT you still got the power and suspension for doing some aggresive riding when the mood strikes. the 1200c is a nice bike but not sure how well it would handle for anything besides just cruising around.
You cant beat a 1200R IMHO.........

RE: Newbie w/ Sportster Question....
I personally think after riding a Gixxer you wouldnt be happy with an 883, There is nothing wrong with an 883 , but I am sure your used to get up and go.
I never rode a bike before I baught my 1200C I learned on it and have had it 2 yrs and 3 months and have Rebuilt the top to a high performance Motor with screaming Eagle parts. I got bored about 2 months after I got it, and it was stage 1 when I got it. Put cams and carb on it right away, the the top end. I am now happy with it. And the cruising look of the Custom is what I was looking for. And I think it does ok in the curves and back rodes, Probally not as good as an R or a Crotch Rocket, but still very fun and in city looks cool as hell.
