Default Fuelpak AND X14ied's??

Ok, i have a 2009 1200 custom with some V&H shortshots, mach-2 aircleaner, it had a very noticeable surge at cruising speed, so i bought the fuelpak, after tons of settings and calls to V&H, the surge was still there, after tons of reading and searching, it looks like i need the xied's, i just ordered a set, can this be ran with the fuelpak? Would it help or hurt if i leave the fuelpak in?
Anyone run a similar setup?
Thanks

They both do the same thing. Buy a real tuner. So much better because you can fine tune every variable for a better running bike.
Forget those junk half assed fuel enrichers. The pv is nice as is tts and the pcv. I'm using a pcv on my cammed and dynotuned 106 and I get 50mpg on the highway at 70 with 107hp/115tq. When my bike was stage one with a fuel pal it ran crappy. Got 36 highway mpg and I was ailing v&h every night.

well, i installed the X14ieds, most of the "surging" and "missing" is gone, and runs A LOT better, but still a few small "dead" spots, im going to try and disconnect the fuelpak and see what happens.

Here's a great article on open-loop, closed-loop, tuners, and such. The last 1/2 of the article is the good stuff. Based on this article, the Xied's should take care of closed loop riding, and the Fuelpak should take care of the open loop riding (theoretically). Not sure if that's reality or not. Had x14ieds on mine, but couldn't get rid of decel pop with my set up. Put on a Fuelpak (without x14's) and it runs like a top. Never ran them together as I was happy with what the FP did for me. Anyhow, the article is a good read!!
