Default plasti-Dip on the upper forks?

Two questions.

1) Has anyone used plasti-Dip on the upper forks?
(the area some people wrap with paracord - not the actual moving part)

2) Has anyone been able to spray that area effectively without taking the forks off?
(lots of prep/protective tarp setup I would imagine)

I really like the idea, but I've heard horror stories of people who actually know what they are doing really messing things up when f'n with the forks.
I've no business doing that. Thus question #2

Bonus question:
If you do have plasti-Dip on the forks... post a pic maybe?

Thanks!

Taking the forks on and off isn't a big deal, however there isn't much clearance between the slider tubes and the clamps so any paint would scrape off is you took them off in the future.
