I'm thinking about buying this hardtail. What do you guys think about the looks of this bike? Do you think it needs any upgrades or changes? Is there room for taller handle bars?

The riders in the "Dyna" section might be able to give you a better opinion.......

It needs...

Better bars
A different/smaller tank
A less ugly seat
Swap out that rear fender

Looks like a decent starting platform for a project or to ride it as it. Your call. It's not a Sportster though....

Going on the questions you asked and the fact you don't even know it's not a sportster motor, I would say do not buy that bike.
Chances are you will be working on that bike more than riding it.
Also, there is a good reason motorcycles come with shocks now.

I'm with "HERE", I don't see the point in hardtailing a bike if you're not going to change the basic look of the back. Its a good starting platform if that's the direction you're going, but it's not even close to "done".

I'd definitely have to agree with the gender its atrocious, I'm not a big fan of the paint either, I think the only thing I like about that bike it the springer front end. If I were to buy it I'd change the rear fender, the seat and the paint, other than that it looks like it has potential.

I won't say keep looking, hell if the price is right and it's what you're looking for, buy it. I love the lines of the frame and the springer front end. Some minor tweaking and just swapping out the tins would greatly improve it in my eyes. I have a habit of looking at bikes and breaking them down mentally to see what it can be, not what it is. This one has great potential.
