Default Won't start after washing

My wife washed my bike yesterday, tried to leave for work this morning and won't start. Turns over fine, not out of gas. She didn't soak it with a hose, she is careful with the water.
05 1200c, daily rider, 30K miles & normally runs perfect.
Any advice on what I should start checking would be greatly appreciated. JF

Maybe she decided to play with a pet-****?

this actually might be right if she accidently pulled the vacum hose out of the back it would do just that.

you also might want to check to see if there is water in your spark plug boots.

the air filter idea is a good one too but I would think after a night it would be dried up enough to run...i think.

Do you have an alarm? On my Ducati, the very first time I washed it meant a tow to the dealer and a warranty replacement alarm as the water fried it. Lesson learned was use a bucket not a hose lol.

always fire the bike up after washing , let it idle for a bit and take it around the block 2 or 3 times. this gets any excess water out of the wiring or electrics and you should not have the problem again. I do this every time I wash my bike . I have never been stranded or had difficulty starting and riding the bike after a wash ever.

Check the battery ground both ends. Dont just tug on it make sure they are tight. Had a loose ground that only showed itself after washing the bike.
