well a 10000 miles on this Nightster now and the footpegs look like new.
Keep trying but cant get it to lean over enough
(might get the file out and fake it)

 

You're running 14'' on the rear right? I'm sure it gave you a significant amount of clearance. I've gone through 3 pegs in the past 10 months of owning mine. 7500 miles and counting. I want to raise my rear to 13" for the clearance since pegs are adding up.

 

my 13s arent helping the cause one bit. just makes me push harder to scrape. Im in the market for shorter shocks lol

 

Better your problem than mine- I've got a low and I scrape too soon for comfort. In fact, the only close call I've had thus far was entering a very tight turn at what should have been a safe speed.. drug the kickstand and had to stand it up a little, almost didn't make the turn. That'll be my next purchase, longer progressives.. I'm paranoid about it now and riding like a bitch in tight turns.

The real question is if you have any chicken strips?

 

does scraping the pegs against the wall, as im pushing it inbetween a very tight ally way count?

The little parts on the edge of the tread pattern that hasnt been ridden on. IE to chicken to lean that far over.
