Default riding shoes, what do you use

So we and my tio where talking a while back about what we wear when we ride(both of us have sportys) and both agreed on we dont like wearing boots. They are cumbersome and I just dont like boots. So I wear convers/pf flyers to ride. they are comfy and I love them hahaha. what are your thoughts. Id like to have something a but more sturdy than canvas and rubber, any good alternatives out there that look like convers??? I was thinking about having a pair custom made not too sure yet. I just dont dig boots. work boots cowboy boots what ever.

thanks for your input guys

I dont like wearing boots while I ride either, so instead of wearing sneakers I went with a pair of hiking boots. Not as thick and heavy as regular boots but a lot better than sneakers.

My Chucks in town or leather boots on the open road. Got a heavy HD pair and another light pair that I actually love more. I want my ankle bones covered in a skid.

Weight lifting or wrestling high top sneakers.they are are similar to auto raceing shoes.Very comfortable, and lace them a bit snug.

I guess form over function wins this time

you probably just haven't tried the right boots. My redwings are very wide and very comfortable (if you have wide feet). Saying all boots are uncomfortable is like saying all seats are uncomfortable, you just havent found the correct pair yet.
