riding shoes, what do you use

Footgear
I have read slip on engineer type boots will slip off when needed the most. I like a 9" lace up with two side zippers. I have Milwaukee but the lug sole could have better traction. I think canvas sneeks are just a cut above flip flops and both should be avoided. Some folks don't like the terms, "Dress for the slide, not the ride, or, Have you had your wreck yet? "
I have 6 pairs of Dan Posts and never worn with H-D.

I was riding in some hiking boots and it was okay. Did not think i would like non lace up boot. Decided to go to boot store to look around and tried on HD boots, Harness Boots and then the sales lady had me try on some Ariat Ramlers, wow really comfortable and actually was easier to ride in. Thinking i may throw in my running shoes in my saddlebags in case I have to really do any serious walking, but so far these boots are really comfortable. Did not think I would like this style of boot, but I was wrong.
