First get 'em from Trak Tek, they are Highly recommended too, from lottsa folks here and at XLForums. Cheapest too!
I put 'em on and took the Bike out. As soon as I got on the road i knew these shocks are the real deal. Even on smooth pavemnent they were noticably different. I went straight to what I call the "Washboard Road". Real bumpy pavement, the Progressives took all the "chop" out of the bumps. I mena a BIG differenc. Then I hit the Bridge, the Bridge is slightly higher than the roadway andthey took the "slam" outta that too. I am one happy camper!!!!!
I'm 220lbs so I ordered the Heavy Duty Shocks, they are recommend for 225 lbs and up, so I went that route. They have 5 pre-load positions and come at the lowest setting. I raised them to the highest, I will lower them to the mid setting before the next ride. I also got them in 11 inch length, lowered the Custom a full inch. I gotta do something about the Wiring running down the fender, not rubbing but I want to be ob the safe side, but that is a small deal. I recommend these shocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
