The power is anemic
Your going to hate it
Do yourself a favor and ride some bikes before you buy
The big twins are something you should ride before you buy
Some simple bolt ons to a 96 or 103 like AC, exhaust, cams and a tune can make these big bikes really fun when you twist the throttle

I wouldn't suggest an iron, unless you found one on the cheap.
You can however upgrade it to a 1250 if you are into modding.
A 1250 with 883 gearing has a lot of in town mash (ive heard)
Get a 1200N the nightster if you want a black out harley.
Or get a bigger harley if you want to be up on the highways more.
I'm purely rehashing what I've heard around the forums

The Iron is awesome, though not exactly for long Highway touring. But you would expect that, right?
It's more blacked out than the Nightster, so to a lot of people it looks better.
You can upgrade it to a 1250 without breaking the bank.
And apparently (I haven't tried this, I just read about it) you can smoke a big twin Harley once modded because of the power to weight difference. Your top end may suffer, but acceleration is the ****.
