Question Plate relocation - how?

Hey folks...

For those of you that have moved your license plate - did you use a kit or just start playing around?

If anyone knows of a good kit / braket / whatever I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks folks!

The Harley kit seems to be the best deal IMO.
I've searched and searched and nothing seems to really compare in terms of fit, finish and price.

I've always been curious, don't you occasionally walk into those things hanging off the side? I'm as cautious as anyone around my bike, but I can just see a nice shin banger coming with that style. They look cool of course, but ouch, hitting that would suck!

Is this the kit people use when they're turned the plate vertical?
I like the vertical look (some
Of them are vertical and bent) ... But im not sure how well the local police would like it.

I'm going to chop my fender, does anybody know of any other plate holders that don't mount to the fender?

I made one by using the belt guard I had removed. Stole the idea from a post I saw on this site. Do a search and you should find the write-up.

I bought a mount from figure machine that mounts to the shock bolt. It has an led strip to light up the plate.
