As mentioned above, Figure Machine has a really nice side mount. Here is their lit version. The mounting bracket is machined so that the wire for the LEDs is concealed. Outstanding! They have a unit without lights, too, as well as a slew of other cool parts.

How/where do you wire this?? Does it have the wiring with it?? Any additional pics?

It was not hard to wire. It comes with an LED light with attached wiring. I had to drill a small hole in the groove of the backplate for the wire to exit. It runs down a channel in the bracket. I then ran it along the back side of the swingarm and up into the battery box area. I used zip ties to secure the wiring and you can barely see it.

Hey California riders...!!!...the law is 12" to the bottom of the plate from the ground or higher,no lower,and must be horizontal.and lighted.I want to do this also so I have a CHP friend and he checked it out for me...I had to edit a little.
