Default Pics of my "New" Harley!

Hey folks!

Well it's finally here!
I got my first Harley!

It's a 2008 XL883
As you can likely see it's pretty much Stock.
It has a few niceities like a "pig tail" batter charger connectore, and the saddle bags.
Otherwise, It's a blank canvas and my mind is already full of things I want to do to it.

I haven't had much of a chance to ride it yet, but it's all ready.
Titled, Insured, and cleaned up.
I've taken her around the neighborhood and it's a lot of fun - though I need to lower it a bit.
(I'm a short guy)

Good news on that front - I found a Burlly brand lowering kit at the Harley shop's clearance table.
Was $120 and I picked it up for $29
It doesn't lower it much, but hopefully it will help.

The best part about the story though is that I got a helluva deal on the bike itself.
This 2008 has less than 3,500 miles.
The seller is my buddy's brother so I know the history.
(ridden once or twice a month - and ridden easy)
The seller though was too busy with other things to put much effort into selling it so I got it for a steal.

I'm stoked.
Can't wait to get it lowered and start some serious riding!

Congrats on the new scoot, she shore is purty. Just some advice on lowering, she's already gonna scrape a bit in turns. Might wanna hold off, get some saddle time in getting used to riding it, you may find she's ok where she is - just sayin'.
Have fun & ride safe.

Congratulations, and I agree with exemexer. It's a light bike and you may be fine once taking a rider safety course.

Mazel Tov! Buying the Sporty is just the entry price. Good luck.
