Ever since I started riding bikes nearly 50 years ago I have made it a point to go the ton (100 mph) at least once on each bike I've owned that had the potential to do so. I've done it on Triumphs, BSA's, Hondas, an Ariel Square Four, Nortons, and Royal Enfields.

After break-in, I took my '05 XL1200R up to what the speedometer said was 105 mph. I don't know the speedo's error at that speed, but it certainly had more in it when I backed down at that point. Just wondering if anyone else has my perverted need to go the ton at least once on each bike they've owned.

 

Havent done it on every bike, though I have definitely done it on my Sporty more than once!

 

YES!...i have that weird need to do that as well. Feels like i'm always pushed to do it by my inner self

 

Always did in my younger days. Just dont feel the need anymore. Think the fastest Ive been on my current bike is 87

I am with Hog Rider. I go 100 every morning on the way to work. Maybe its a WV thing.

 

I work 3 miles from my house. I should start doing that. I could leave at 7:58

 

LOL, or leave sooner and walk LOL! I have been very fast all on my bikes.

 

Do the Ton.........me? Mmmmmmmm, maybe on occasion.
