I have done it on my 2003 883r. And I had a 1981 Suzuki 650gs. The speedo only went to 85 and I could hit that in 3rd gear. So I would imagine I hit 100 easy

 

Lol! I remember when the Feds issued that rule about speedos could only go to 85! Cannot remember when they cancelled that, but what stupidity!

 

Every car I have owned I always topped out. I have not topped out my sportster though I have had it right at 100.

 

I'm with Riven, any and every car that I've owned has found the speed limiter. Just hit 105 on the Iron saturday, rolled from 65 in 5th, that was FUN!
My '72 Torino was the most fun one though, speedo went to 120mph, and I had the needle pegged on the trip odo reset peg, checked the rpm's and got out of it at 6600rpm's at 155ish

 

Something strange a few people have about seeing if it will really go as fast as the speedo says it can. Mine says 120. If it wasn't there, it was damn close.
