Default Rubber Motor Mounts

What year did HD start putting rubber motor mounts in the Sportsters? I'm thinking of buying another Sportster because my 01 vibrates like a beast at high rpms (>3200) and especially at 70+ mph.

Thanks. I was hoping that they had started putting rubber motor mounts on the Sportsters before they had switched completely to EFI. Carburetors I can work on; EFI, I can not. I would really like to get a bike on which I can continue to work and that has rubber motor mounts.

As everyone else said, 2004+ the engine is rubbermounted.

However, as the owner of a solid-mount, I don't see what the big deal is. I do thousands of miles per year at all kinds of riding speeds, and I just don't get what the big deal is between the two. I've ridden both, and it just doesn't make that big of a difference to me.

04 to 06 is what you would want if you want rubber mount and a carb
2007 Sportster went all EFI like the other bikes

I've owned Harleys since the 70s, when they were all solid mounts. No matter how many Sporties I tried over the years I couldn't like them enough to buy one. My rubber mount SuperLow is great, so I can at last have a 'big' and 'small' twins in my household!
