vance and hines 2-1 exhaust
Been looking to go with a 2 -1 exhaust on my iron. My bike has the screaming eagle slip ons at the moment. Vance and hines has a black out series that don't break the bank. The new comp series rocks but pricey. Any opinions with people who run these pipes would be greatly appreciated.

Just installed the Blackout on mine. I haven't fired it up yet but all the comments I've read about them have been positive. They are supposed to get damn hot so a lot of guys are recommending you wrap them to save your leg. That will add a bit to the cost and is a messy job but that's the way I went. Got mine from Dennis Kirk for a very good price and extremely fast & free shipping + a $10 oversize fee. Got them three days after I ordered them. Good luck.

I have done a ton of mods to my bike and out of everything I did the 2-1 competition exhaust has my favorite. Looks awesome, sounds great and gave the bike a big improvement in performance. It was a total pain to install because they are having some fitament issues with the front headpipe. As previously mentioned, you also need to extend the O2 harnesses, but even after these bumps in the road, my best purchase.

I'm voting for the comp series. I have it on mine and like OldSchoolZ said it is also my favorite mod. It is without a doubt the best looking 2 into 1 you can put on a Sportster to me and many others, but the price is up there. The blackout 2 into 1 is one of the cheapest 2 into 1 systems and IMO can be seen when compared to the comp series, bobcat, road rage and other high price systems. The comp series though is built for top end performance where some of the other systems are a bit longer for a bit more power down low. Doesn't bother me though because I love the way it sounds above 4k RPM. It sounds like a race bike with way power than it has when reving hard haha.

I wanted to add too that the comp series is made out of super light and super strong high grade stainless steel that no other system is made out of on the market in my research. It is 12.8 lbs total with mounting bracket where the blackout is 23 lbs. The Bassani Road Rage is 32 lbs and the Supertrapp is 23 lbs. I'm pretty sure the comp series is the lightest exhaust you can buy which is big for me since my Sporty is set up for performance and handling.
