Default Sportster crash guard

I have a 05 sportster Custom. I want to install a crash guard, for the O'lady. It bolts to the front motor mount.
Now ... can I remove the 2 bolts without screwing any thing up ??????

Yep, no problem. Just use some blue Loctite on the bolts and torque them back to spec.

Tell us how the lower bolt holes line up on your engine guard when you install it.
I just installed the HD engine guard on my 2011 1200 custom and the bottom holes didn't want to line up completely.
Had to open up one of the bottom slots a bit on the engine guard to get the bolt in without interference from the guard.

I installed the guard on my 2009 Nightster and everything lined up fine. The key is to get all the bolts in but don't tighten them. That will give you the room to align everything properly. Then, tighten each bolt progressively.
