Default converting forward controls to mid

This is for an 08 Nightster.. where did you buy the components to do so? Or can I reuse the parts on now and replace only the linkages?

Also, do i have to buy specifically nightster controls or will other sportster models work?

Almost all the parts need to be replaced. Just need to find someone who converted mids to forwards. Usually go pretty cheap. If you fInd someone looking to trade, HD forwards new are 400-500. Used mids go 50-100. From what I remember when I converted, all you may need to replace in a trade would be the snap rings on the pin for the pegs.

Thank you for the response. Because I am new to motorcycles I am unsure as to what I need. I want to make sure that when I buy from ebay that I am getting all the required parts. Is there a list or a schematic I can follow?

I'm on my phone or I'd do a more extensive search for info. The controls aren't nightster specific, but not all years of sportster interchange. I could guess, but I'm sure someone will chime in soon with exact years.

The exact part info is out there if you search for it and dig around a bit. Here's a photo of my mids (2011) after I tore them off.

EDIT- just checked eBay, looks like several sets torn off nighters and Irons are for sale fitting 2004 and later sporty's search "sportster Mid controls" look close...a couple are a bit pricey.

I'd trade my MUDs off my 2012 nightster for forwards.

I have a set of black mids off a 09 I'd let for for $100. Like brand new.

Does this set come with everything? Including pegs and bolts? Also is that price including shipping?

I've tried to find out if a 2010 iron 883 controls would fit. Does anyone have any insight into this?

If your forward ate black, I'd like to buy them, if the price is right. My forward are chrome and I think black would look better on my bike.
