You might wanna do an NRHS 1250 kit with that, the added displacement will help.

You could do the 1250, that'll give you a boost for now, and then later do the head work and cam. Some have said the .536 cam is a little better (and less noisy...) than the .551 cam. For now though you could just do the .497 cam or an Andrews N4 cam instead of the .551 - you'll still be well above where you are now.

It would be quicker and simpler to just fit a 1250 kit. Take a look at NRHS's website, where they have dyno graphs of engines with different states of tune. The major boost comes from the 1250 kit. Other changes mainly improve top end.

I'd save my money a little longer and do both at once, it's a PITA to do it twice.

Am I reading this correctly? The 883 to 1250 kit for a sportster is only 700?

do it all at once. pull your heads and ship them when you order your 1250 kit and cams. i think you might be happy with the se. 497 or n4 cams. that combo turns it into a bike that can be ridden causally all day and stretch your arms out if you want to wind it up.

nope it's $699.95 lol. you'll need a few other things also like gasket kit and you'll have to tune it.

Best thing you can do if you want a list of parts needed and prices is call Dan at NRHS.
