Replacing Turn Signal

Replacing Turn Signal
I have to replace the left rear turn signal and thought I would use the relocation kit for when I get my bags.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice on disconnecting the old wiring and wiring up the new one? Is it a very hard job to do and about how long does it take to wire up a new turn signal?

RE: Replacing Turn Signal
make sure you solder your connections. DON'T use butt connections they will come loose and build corrosion after a while. there is a special tool you can use to put wire together. they use it at factories when putting wiring together but that tool runs a couple hundred dollars. so solder your connections and use heat shrink to cover up your connections.

RE: Replacing Turn Signal
You CANNOT get the wire through the fender strut with the plug attached. Either remove the metal end and the wire from the plug (a little tricky to do without wrecking) or cut the wires in a stagger a few inches from the plug and the splice (with solder) them back after running through the relocation. It sounds more difficult than it is.
