Default DK Customs Tanklift

I've ordered the 2" Tank lift, coil and ignition relocator from DK Curstoms for my 2011 Iron. While I wait I'm trying to get everything ready and prepared, so today I spent some time looking at the wiring that is to go under the tank and had some questions:

- Anybody have some tips on how to tidy them up?
- If you remove the plastic parts currently under the tank, what do you do (fastening) with the throtle cable?
- What do you do with the cluct of colourful cables coming down on the right side of the bike near the saddle?

Images for illustration, any tips welcome!

Thanks!

The kit comes with some zip ties to tidy things up, I ended up running out to a local electronics store and picked up some black wire sleeves that matched nicely with all the others on the bike, while the tank is lifted and everything was unplugged i would just measure the amount of exposed wire, cut the sleeve to fit and slip it on over the connector. for smaller bits, I used electrical tape (time consuming) but all in all I feel it came out very nicely. I have almost no mechanical skill and I was able to do it. I had to run out and buy some torx bits since I didn't have any, so make sure you have access to some of those before diving in. In the front I found that the wires tucked in much smoother in between the tank lift and the frame, rather than going along the top of the frame (if that makes any sense) DK makes a great product and I'm still amazed every time I open my garage and see how clean it looks. Tis a great feeling to know I did it with out any help.

I had the Dk relocation kit delivered to the Uk but did not order or want the tank lift.
Looking at my bike again i dont think i can tidy all those wires up enough without a tank lift to be satisfied.
If anyone on here has done this without the tank-lift would be good to hear how you got on
OP do you visit the ACE CAFE ?

I just duct taped everything into a bundle to hide the color wires and lay it on the frame. Because of the lift I don't even need to zip tie anything down.

I made my own , here is how I did the wires. The last picture is after I redid things with a better wire covering.

I didn't order a tank lift either but I managed to do a semi decent tuck with out the lift. I'll try to post some pictures today. It's possible.. just takes time and patience.

Here's a link to some notes and pics of doing a wire tuck, there is also a link there for a step-by-step Youtube video on doing a wire tuck. (NSFW)
