I just washed my bike,and now the speedometer won't work. I don't know where the sensor is located. i am new to the Harley Bike and i have never really worked on a bike. But I don't want to take it to the shop for something small. Can someone Help me? The bike seems to be running well, just the needle won't move at all. And i don't know how to check for codes.

 

Can someone please tell me where the speed sensor connection is located?
I have not worked on a bike before and i don't really know where that part would be, or what it looks like.

 

It is under the seat on my 95.

 

It may be nothing more than a case of getting water where it doesn't belong. I'd set the bike out in the sun for a day and see if it doesn't dry out and start working.

The speed sensor is located on top of the tranny case, near where the negative battery cable is attached.
