Default Red tail light bulbs

So I replaced the stock front and rear signal lenses with smoked lenses about 2 months ago and the right rear bulb has already lost the brake and turn element. Running light still works, but nothing else. All three other signals are still ok. For the life of me, I can't find either a part number or the replacement bulbs online. I need a red bulb. Any help here would be appreciated. The service manual has part numbers for the stock clear bulbs, but not red ones.

Also, I had the lights on for about 30 seconds and holy crap were they hot (with the lenses removed). Is this normal? I'm wondering if this has something to do with why it burned out so soon. Any thoughts?

I found some red replacement LED bulbs at AutoZone. They were more expensive of course but seem quite a bit brighter. And as far as the bulbs getting hot....that's normal.

Can you just swap for LED's without any electrical issues? I thought I read somewhere about needing some sort of load balancer maybe? I could have misunderstood that though.

They blinked fast the first time I tried them and then corrected themselves. No extra parts needed.
