Old Issues can be a pain in the A$$
Ok, I know you are tired of being asked about the same ol things. However, it is new to me, so I am gonna ask anyway. I just got my Sportster. 1200L, 4.5 tank. Mid controls. I'm a chick, 5 8, 170. The stock seat stinks, really. So, I got a good deal on a Sundowner. Though it is softer on my fanny, it sits me up an inch or so higher and pushes me into the controls - put's all this weight on my hands. It's not cool. I've got long legs so I am going to get forward controls put on this week. I am hoping that once I have done this, I can put the Sundowner back on and BAM. All is good, right? But if it isn't, I plan on working towards getting another seat. I would like a seat that doesn't sit me up any higher if at all possible. I would like to have a two up - not that I plan on putting anyone on the back, but for when I road trip and need more room for my junk. I am wonderin if anyone has ran into this with the Sundowner or if anyone has any seat suggestions based on my info.

I have the Sundowner. Initially it did raise me up about an inch, and pushed me forward. After some miles, it will conform to your tush. I can't remember how many miles that takes. I've had the Sundowner for over 5 years and 70,000 miles. Seems like the seat got better after around 1,000 miles.

No personal experience, but I hear these guys do great work. For as little as 50 bucks plus shipping, you can have the seat modified for your height and weight.
