Angry XLH883 Hugger won't run

Last week I stopped at a Mom and Pop gas station a few minutes from work and filled up. After work on my way home within the first couple minutes of riding it started to run like ****. It would not accelerate over 30 MPH and was backfiring a lot. I knew I had gotten a dose of bad gas so I drained the tank, puled the in tank filter and cleaned it, pulled the carb, tore it apart and cleaned it. went into town to a busier gas station and bought super unleaded brought it home and put some in the tank sloshed it around to clean it out. put it all back together and put new gas in. It started easily and idled fine but when I go to give it any throttle it would still backfire, pop puke and then die. it would backfire through carb and exhaust. WTF am I missing here? keep in mind it ran perfect up until the fill up. The only thing I can see that might be a problem is I do not see the vacuum piston moving up and down at all but then again I can't give it enough throttle to test it. Please help !

was there sediment in the bad gas? If any of it got past your filter, you've probably got some blocking your carb jets.
