I want to change the pegs on my 2008, 1200 XL Custom so that I will have more comfort on long rides.
What are your suggestions?

I think the position of the pegs is more important than the pegs themselves. Do you have forward controls? I added a cruise bar on mine to stretch out, but my size 14 feet hurt my mpg's.

I just use the stock rubber pegs. Moved my passenger pegs to my cruise bar. Can't beat the rubber for comfort and grip.

 

I just bought some avon pegs. I hope they are good. The price was the best part

 

I went with HD Mini Floorboards and could not be more comfortable. Great for the short or long haul.

 

 

I think that's like asking what are the most comfortable shoes. You have to find what you like and works for you. Not to mention all the style possibilities.

For me I love the HD thin round O-ring pegs, I have tried many differant styles and the thin round look and feel the best to me.

 

Stock pegs are best. Absorbs all the vibration and lasts forever. And they cost nothing.
