Default foot peg drama!

I just purchased really cool pegs (but they have a male end) for my 2000 sportster from DK. My current set up is for a female peg. Where can I get a clevis to fit my bike to accept my new male peg. The thread size has to be at least 5/8 fine(I think).

You gotta ask for their technical support department at JP Cycle...or give Dennis Kirk a try

Thanks folks...I'll give it another go tomorrow to see if I can be helped. I'll try calling because nothing that I am seeing looks close to the size thread that I need to make these work. My thread diameter is huge/ like 5/8ths or whatever. I should have mentioned that these are meant for the rider. I'm almost wondering if these were designed for the shifter and brake instead. Am I that slow??? I am learning that this female end thing seems to be an untapped market. There are ton's of male end parts and pegs! At any rate, these pegs are wayyy too cool to return. If all else fails they'll make great coffee table ornaments.

I don't know what your skill set or what tools you have available but I would take a hacksaw and cut off the threaded portion and drill and tap to make it work. I started a thread where I did something similar. Search for foot pegs or see if you can find threads started by me. Some people don't feel that it is safe to have pegs that thread directly into the pin but whatever. If you scrape your pegs you are going to have problems regardless of how they are mounted.
