Yepper. Prob need to run em on 4 or 5 depending on how old they are. Mine do the same thing. I'm hoping to get some new shocks with tax money, if there's any left. Maybe some Progressive 412.

well my bike is brand new. Less than 1000 miles. I will adjust them when I have a chance. Been to cold around me to ride lately. Mornings in the high 20's low 30's...burrrr

Being brand new has nothing to do with it. Most bike manufacturers build their bikes for a 140lb-170lb rider. If you weigh more or less than that, the springs in your forks and shocks will either be under or oversprung. What do you weigh?

Really? Even in America? Whose average weight is in that range? Middle to High Schoolers? I'm 210 and my shocks have bottomed out, especially when 2 up. Not as much as you think when it's just me. Thinkin myself about alternatives or progresives. But really, someone is gonna build suspension around a parameter of total absurdity? C'mon people. We in this forum need FACTS!!!

I weight 195. but what I was geting at was that brand new shocks on a brand new bike will be more "springy" than old worn out shocks with 100,000 miles on them.

I hear ya... too cold in the morning to ride into work, and by the time I get home, it's dark and the temps are dropping quick. Lots of deer getting hit on the roads too.
