Default Lick's Solo Bag Installed

I know this is nothing new, but I wanted an excuse to take pics of my bike! I got my solo bag yesterday after about a 4 week wait. I was reluctant to drop that kind of cash on the bag, but after receiving it I think it was worth the wait. The quality is excellent! I just wanted a small bag to throw my gloves, camera, chick wallet, insurance, etc. in. This seems like it will work perfect for that.

Aj was also kind about responding to my e-mails about the status of my bag whenever I asked.

I used zip-ties to mount it like others have suggested. I'm glad I did because I think using the leather straps would have been a booger to get through some of the nooks and crannies. I also clipped a couple to try a different position. I didn't want it up too high and rubbing on the battery cover.

I tried to get a picture behind the bag so you could see the mounting points. I wasn't positive what the best position was going to be, but I think this turned out all right.

and for fun....

Nice. I hope to order one in the next few weeks when I have the cash. It's too bad I'll have to then wait another month to get it. I wish they would just charge us whenever it ships, instead of right when we order it.

I've had plastic zip ties break on me and I'm leery about using them. Are you concerned of the heat and bouncing/vibration breaking them?

I used the Zip ties as well, took a few tries to get it where I wanted it and it looks to be where your's is. It still contacts the left cover a bit.

I went with the DCW left side solo .$119 shipped same day got it in 3 and great cust service. Bag is a bit bigger than the licks and I'm stoked having a bag now instead of filling my pockets or wearing back pack.

I would not order from anyone who charges before they can ship. Especially not that far in advance>

great bag. It took me about 3-4 weeks to get but as all say quality excellent! I used the leather straps supplied to mount. Then I took the tie wraps to help position how I wanted it to position to the battery cover. So I have the leather straps as the real mounting and the tie wraps (mostly on the upper shock mount pulling) to place where I wanted.

Anyway, the wait is worth it, made in USA, great quality.

After riding most of yesterday, I think I am going to reinforce the straps some and try to get it mounted slightly lower. It is rubbing on the battery cover some and I was paranoid the whole time I was riding that it was going to vibrate off or something.
