Default '07 Sportster 1200 Anniversary Model

I'm interested in learning more about this model. To anyone who has bought it, what is your opinion of it? How much did you pay for it? If you don't own one but have a useful opinion of it, please let me know.

I bought one...paid the MSRP. It came with the alarm system and they threw in a cover and trickly charger. I'm liking it so far but I haven't been able to put all that many miles on it since it is winter. Mine is #0078 of 2000

I have a Mirage Orange XL50 and paid full list for it last August. I love the bike and have spent another 3K on it since buying it. No regrets, and a ton of fun to own and ride. If I were doing it all over again,i'd buy a Dyna off the bat and tweak it rather than a 1200, but for it's agility, you can't beat it. I paid 13100.00 out the door for it in Canadian dollars.

Good luck with your quest and if you find one, jump on it quickly as they will all be gone real soon.

I have owned mine since September and love the bike. I have done "stage 1" upgrades and the performance is outstanding. The bikes are pretty cool looking with the chrome and graphics. I use mine for both cruising and touring. Came with the security option. Paid slightly under MSRP, but it is a long story (dealer discounted it after a month long wait for another bike). We have a list of XL50 owners on this site, so check out what other owners have said.

I'd buy one they are one of the hot tickets for 07 I am a trucker and hit alot of dealers when I ask about the bike most tell me theirs sat on the floor for like 3 days and was gone and they wish they had more to sell. I used to own an old 883 custom (non-rubber mount) and this thing is sooooo much nicer to ride. And I get alot of compliments when I ride it #872 of 2000 (black)

Thanks for your response. Where on this site can I find the list of XL50 owners you mentioned?

Hi,

The list of 50th owners is on page 9 right now (01/11/07). I really like mine, it handles very nice and has good power. I installed taller shocks in back because I was used to the higher seat on my old Street Rod. The Sportster is a very fun bike and the 50th model is unique. Buy one!
