Default Need some axle clarification please

Ive read thread after thread and i think the more I read the more I get confused. And my mechanic is of absolutely no help to me right now cuz he is at his real job...

I have the possibility of trading my 09 nightster spoke rims for 07 mag wheels off an 883. I know my axles are 25mm. The axles for the 07 are 1" front and rear? Is this going to be a problem? I wanted some Iron mags but no one wants to offload any

Can someone tell me how hard this is going to be if its even possible?

Good choice. I love laced wheels despite the extra work. They're classic and look awesome.

Just to answer your question anyways, you would need to swap the wheel bearings to accept the right sized axle. The sizes depend on year and wheel as follows:

Fronts are:

'00 - '07: ¾"
'08+: 25mm

Rears are:

'00-'04: ¾"
'05-'07: 1"
'08+: 25mm
