I'm contemplating clip on's for my bike. What does this entail as far as brake lines, throttle cables, ect? All insight appreciated!

You can get away with using the stock cables, but you'd definitely want to get shorter wires to clean it up.

I inquired about this recently. Couple people said everything stock worked fine. Haven't done it myself yet.

I made some for a Nightster but they mount the same as any other clip-on

I just ordered a 12" shorter clutch cable & throttle cable (running single throttle cable) and I shortened the hard line in the brake line myself.

You can see how long the stock throttle cable is here

Thanks for the help, guys.
Mreed, you do some cool stuff. How does one go about shortening the hard line himself?

Mike, i really love the look of the single bar clip on's you made. Killer work as always.

Youll definately want a new brake line, but you can make the factory one work it just sucks with the steel section between the rubber sections

Check out the Alloy Art Speed Down Bars. They are a happy medium and they'll work with no mods.

Thanks

I removed unnecessary length from the hardline and used a compression fitting to plumb it back together. It's a regular old brake line...just like a car.
