Default Mustang Seats?

Hi All,

I'm thinking of purchasing a Mustang one-Piece studded touring that includes the rider and passenger seat all in one.

It can be seen here: http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/mu...k/part/M-76142

When I bought my bike it came with what I believe to be a Sundowner seat. That seat moved me up a quite a bit further and as such caused my legs to cramp up which was very uncomfortable. So I put the stock seat back on and had no problems.

I was at the dealership today and saw a used bike that had a mustang seat on it, and it looked pretty cool. Does anyone have experience with this brand of seats? I'm 5'11" btw and ride a 2007 Sportster 1200 custom.

Thanks!

You'll find alot of people here with Mustang Seats and everyone loves them.

My suggestion to you is to give them a call. They have great customer service and will be able to answer any questions you have.

I called and just ordered a Vintage Wide Solo just today.

I don't know about everyone. I have the solo & it's like riding on a board. It also moves me forward from the stock position so be sure you test the position & comfort prior to buying. I'm glad I bought mine used so I didn't take a huge loss.

+1 on the Mustang.

I'm 5.4 and I have the one piece Vintage w/ passenger pillion on my '06 883. Best investment I ever made. I've taken some really long distance rides on that seat. I just got back from GA a week ago Sunday and I was ready to play pool on my team that night (... after a shower of course). Call them up, they'll answer any questions you have and make suggestions accordingly.

Hope this helps.

i have been through 3 seats on my bike... the wide mustang is the only one that gives my +2 enough butt time- great seat!
and this is what it will look like on your bike:

the sissy bar pad and tank cover are both from mustang to match the seat...

I hated the stock seat on my XL1200L, it was too low and jammed me up to the tank so I got the mustang daytripper. It moved me up and back which is exactly what I wanted. I'm 5'8" and felt jammed in there with the stock seat plus it was hard as a rock.

That's the seat I got, best investment I've made for the bike. Went from 2 hours max between stops to all day comfort.

daytripper was my second seat... much better than the first, but does not compare to the wide mustang. i could ride the day tripper for a coupla hours with no problem, but my +2 had less than an hour on that one. on the wide mustang, i can go as long as there is gas in the tank, and the +2 can go for well over an hour - i start hearing about her rear around an hour and half or so...
