Thanks for the info...that was kind'of what I was thinking, however, even my service guy was not able to answer the question (and the sales counter guy was very ready to sell me the SE ignition). One of the problems is that the HD website shows this part when you run a "what assessories fit my bike." Since I already "invested" in the SERF, I was hoping to deal with this one issue (higher rpms) separately. As you noted, the SERT might be the only game in town. BTW, for those who don't think the new bikes can be tuned...mine has responded very well to stage 1 tuning and playing with the SERF is just like tuning with a carb (jets, accelerator pump, etc)---just faster, plus I can change the rpm low-mid-high transition points.

 

Like I said earlier, I would be shocked if it worked on a '07 - But yes I used my laptop, and installed it in the stock location under the seat.
