Default The lowest I can go

I was lucky enough to purchase this bike for the wife. But the wife is only 5' tall. As it sits now she can barley reach the floor on both sides. How or what is the easiest way to lower this bike maybe 2" ?
Here are a few pictures any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Default RE: The lowest I can go

the old lady bought a '00 sporty this summer and we had to make some changes to it because she is only 5' tall. We put 10 1/2" progressive shocks on it, and an additional 1" kicker on those, then we lowered the front forks about 1 3/4". The shocks we got a great deal on from her MSF Instructor, and kickers we purchased from J & P Cycles. No purchase required for lowering the front forks, butyou only have so much room to play with there. She is flat footed with a good solid pair of riding boots on.

She has a bad knee though, so today I bought her a MTC Voyager trike conversion kit. It doesn't turn it into a trike but adds two additional wheels to the rear and she does not have to worry about holding the weight of the bike up any longer. She still has to have her wits about her to ride, and she does, but this kit will give her the closest thing to the trike she has always wanted that I can afford right now.

Good luck with your changes, hope this gives you some ideas, and may you both ride free and safe....in the wind

I forgot one other very important item we purchased to give her more room and reach. We removed the stock seat and bought a LaPera Bare bones seat for her. It brings her down another inch or so and in about the same, it made a great difference on her reach.

Take care...Geezer glide thunder and his sexxy b*tch

I am 5ft as well andwe lowered my sportster by putting on 10.5 inch shocks as well. We also lowered the front and now I can stand flat footed at all times. It actually made the bike alot more fun to ride for me. I feel more comfortable with it being so low.

I changed out my bars to drag bars and this help me out as well.

I have a 06 1200c I put a badlander seat on it which lowered it some, also I put 11"progressive 412's &if you keep it on the lowest setting it will drop probally 1".So between the seat and the shocks the bike is definitely lower.Hope this helps.
