Default Mustang Touring Seats

I'm going to be upgrading the seat on my 1200 Custom soon and will be looking at Mustang but not sure on which one I'll be upgrading to yet.

Considering the Deluxe Tripper Solo or holding out for a Wide Touring seat but I'm concerned with the width of it.

I'm barely 5' 9" and want to ensure both my feet are still flat on the ground at a stop.

My question is does anyone have any experience with these seats and should I be concerned that the Touring model may be to wide for a short guy such as myself?

Most of my riding will be around town but plan on making some long trips through the countryside in the future.

Mustang has a variety of seats for various applications and you can never go wrong. they have great customer support and will guide you the best seat for your ride. i've had mustang seats on all the bikes i've had and the seat is usually the 1st upgrade out of the dealership...what good is the ride if your buns are not comfortable? good luck.

if its any consolation, i'm only 5'7", stock height on my street glide...got the mustang low down touring seat...and i've done 600 mile day rides no problem other than stopping for gas...

have had several seats on my bike... including the day tripper and the last one (and the best) was the wide mustang. that is the only one that had enough butt time for my +2.

I've got the mustang vintage solo, very comfortable, but it did raise my position by an inch or two.

Thanks guys, I'll give Mustang a call and see what they suggest. All I know is after riding 50 miles today (which is my furthest in a day so far) my hind end was already falling asleep. There's no way I would want to ride with the stock seat for any long length of time.

I think a Mustang touring seat is one of the best upgrades for a bike that can be made.

I rode almost 600 miles this weekend (Fri, Sat & Sun) sitting on a Mustang wide solo. Today's 120 was optional, no way I would have done it on the OEM seat.

I wish Mustang offered distressed brown leather for a choice in their seats.

You're joking?! - Mustang probably gets mentioned every time we talk about seats in here! You are taller than me so should have no problems. You are also allowed to have more than one seat, so you can go with say a full touring seat for those longer rides and the stock or some other skinny one for short trips.
