Default Just Bought my 1st Motor Bike and its a 48

Hey all been on here for a couple of months just reading thought stuff. I have driven motor crosser for some time now.

Been in to my local HD(Glasgow, Scotland) i walked in just to see what my options are on finance. Fiona help me thought it and give me such a nice deal 1k off, 1st service, low interest, 10% of parts and 50% any labor costs. and all the normal stuff.

I bought a 48 in yellow(yes i know but in a year or 2s times it will be getting painted to mat black so this change in color will be a bigger difference when it happens). the bike will not arrive in the UK till the end of June as it started to get build yesterday (07/05/2012).

I am looking to do a stage one

Here are some of the still i am looking to add to the bike

Vance and Hines Shortshot Staggered Black

Solo Spring Saddle - Black Leather

Roland Sand Air Cleaner

My questing is what is my best Tuner HD talk about Screamin Eagle Pro tuner is this a good tuner or is there better out there?

Thanks
Andy

Welcome to the wonder filled world of the Forty-Eight! I have a vivid black one, and have installed HD Screamin eagle 2's for pipes and a screamin eagle covered Arlen Ness Big Sucker a/c...I used X14s for fuel and it worked fine, but I have been wondering the same thing about the pro tuner as I see them often on Craigslist and Ebay. Let us know what you decided and how it worked?

Congrats man! Don't buy Short Shots. With the RSD air cleaner you may have a look at the Bobcat or V&H RSD Tracker pipes.

I don't quite understand. being new to HD. would it be a problem?

Some people don't like that the short shots are so common. I love them on my 48.

that what i was thinking. i don't like the Bobcat or V&H RSD Tracker pipes that much. bobcat is the better of the 2.

I did see some pips dont know the same of them but rather then going to the back of the bike they come out the side close or by where the mid controls would be.

seen them on here 1s but cant find them and not sure of there name.

Side shots or big radius may be what you are thinking of.

Off course it'll work but: 1. The short shots will rob your bike of power;
2. The short shots are too common (ESP here in South Africa); 3. You're going for a modern looking A/C so a more sporty performance based pipe might suit you better.

Here's the bobcat

http://www.danddexhaust.com/catalog/...004-2010-sport.

Here's the RSD Tracker by V&H from one of our members:

Another option (maybe the ones you saw)

http://thesportsterchronicles.blogsp...ide-shots.html

Remember it's your bike and that's the combo I'd go with if you like RSD stuff.

Save up for a few months before buying. I wasted so much money on stuff I ended up not liking.

Enjoy your motorcycle.
