Default Quick question: bar ends, etc...

What exactly is the ID of most bars? My little press-in chrome caps have GOT to go; just trying to figure out what exactly will fit in their place...

Think a 7/8" rubber expander would fit snug enough?

I was thinking of getting a pair of the below bar ends (BMX) next paycheck... 10 bucks, a little added shiny, and it says "STOLEN" on it! What's not to love!?

They're 7/8" dia. If I recall, usually Harley bars are 1" dia... I don't think the 1/8" difference is gonna be enough to cause them to fall out on the highway, if I tighten them down enough....

P.s. Here is the link, in case anyone feels like trying it themselves... Also available in black, blue, red, green, orange, white, yellow.

You might be able to make those work, wrap them in tape if need be. The bars are 1" I believe.
