Default 21" Front Tire on a 1200?

I'm still considering which Harley to get. I want a softail, but I like the Sportster 1200 look, and I like the price. I can get a 1200 a lot sooner than a Blackline or Fatty. Just wondering if you can put a 21" tire on a 1200. If you can, and if anyone has, post pictures, please and thank ye.

All pre-2011 Customs have the 21" front wheel.

+1 - All pre 2011 "C" model Sporties had a 21" front wheel.

But I quickly got tired of getting < 8,000 miles and poor handling on the twisties from that skinny tire and switched to a 19".

Looks awesome, too. I'd like to get a 2012 in Big Blue Pearl. The only thing is, I'd want a 21" front wheel. I love that look. I wonder if I'd have to change the fender, get it lifted, or both? Haha

Nope, it uses the same fender. The 19" tire has a taller sidewall than the 21". There's very little difference in the overall diameter between the two.

That's true. I love the look of the big front wheel, but I'd say they're not the best for the twisties lol.

Wonderful, haha. Maybe I'll go with a Sporty and get a 19" or 21" front.

2006 883 Custom with 21'' stock front wheel. I love it. The "Custom" comes with forward controlls, 21'' front wheel, and the different riser/guage/head lamp setup. I like the 883/1200 Custom features, wish my 883 was a 1200 because the 1200 motor is black, mine is grey, still love it though.

+1 on the 21" on the 1200 Custom. I have 2 1200 Customs both with 21" front tires. As a matter of fact I am going to be selling one of them, probably the 2002 model. If you are interested PM me.

PM sent, I'm interested haha.

I love the 21" they look so good, lol. I've been looking at a 2012 in Big Blue Pearl. I can't wait to get one. Thinking hard about some V&H Sideshots and the 21" first thing if I end up getting it
