This 21" front on my 2007 1200C has 17,750 miles on it and still passes inspection. I changed the rear at 14,650.

Based on his sig line, I suppose at age 70 he's past the aggressive riding and/or running the twisties stage.

Yep, some of us Old Farts are still kids at heart and get our kicks grinding some rubber off.

cHarlie, I'm looking at a 90/90x21 E 3 for my front, should I not do that? Thanks

In fact I have it in my cart at J&P.

PS, I've been 70 for about 3 weeks.

Riding at age 70? Completely awesome.

I like the look of the 72, and I like the 21" wheel, I just dislike the tank being so small, if it wasn't for that, I think that'd be a go

- Happy B-day....
Sorry, I didn't see your post until now.

I've been running E3's and love them, a 160 on the rear and getting ready to install a MM90 (19") front. My mileage from them has been very good, on par with the Metz 880's. Handling and traction is also very good wet and dry.

I can't speak for the 21", but based on your previous post, I think you'll be happy.

I loved the Metz 880's, but since they moved the plant to Brazil, the quality has gone downhill. My last Metz front tire cupped out at 15,000 miles and still had half the tread left.

Thankyou all for the kind words. I am currently going through therapy for a foolish, "over done it" for my age thing. I lifted a huge log to put in my log splitter and tore my left bicep from my shoulder and 75% of the rotator cuff. Fourth therapy tomorrow. The Dr. said no bike ridin until June 12th. I am as impatient as a little kid.

That sucks. Good luck, though. Hopefully therapy will be over sooner rather than later and you'll be in the saddle before June!
