Default What z bar hangers & kit?

Hey guys,

So the Sportster I was looking at getting fell threw... its good in the end cause I found a clean blacked out '10 iron with 1,700 miles, for $6.5! Of coarse I'm trying to squeeze $8.5 out of my bank...

Soo getting to the parts list haha

First off Z bars. I'm think between 10"-14" keeping the factory risers/speedo. Going back to the title, what bars/kits do you guys recommend? What issues will I run into?

Second forward pegs, what brands?

Third pipes, I'm looking at the V&H strait shots! I was told by a local dealer that i would "have to" change out the intake if I wanted those exhaust pipes? What's a good site to order them from?

After that I will be looking for a good intake, mirrors, tank raise... blah blah blah obviously looking for that mean bobber look!

Also I'd like some pointers on what sites to look at for parts?

Thanks in advance!

I had the Licks Z Bars 10" installed on factory risers/speedo on my 07 Nightster and they only Cables i had to replace was the breakline.

Forward controls i would recomend HD Brand.

I have the V&H Short Shots and they are awsome, JPCycles is a good sight so is Dennis Kirk. DK Customs for the Tank Lift and Coil Relocate they are really helpful and parts are great quality.

I am looking @ going to 16" apes and almost everyone i have talked to have recomended the Burley Kits for the Cables

That is just my little two cents lol

Welcome and Good Luck Brother

This is a front shot from right after I installed them. I have since put 2" DK Stealth Risers on and still didnt have to change any more cables.

I Have also attached a pic of the bike with the extended risers

I'm running the HD mini apes with the 3" DK Riser Extensions on my Sporty...just the right height for me.

We have them in 1", 1.5", 2", 2.5" & 3", to help you get just the right height with whatever bars you are running.

Can I piggy back off this post?
I'm trying to do the same thing but I have a 1200 custom and I don't know how risers work and/effect the bars.
Thinking about going with 10" Z bars, not sure what brand either...

I havent seen the Bitwell Bars in person but i can say that the Licks Bars are EXTREAMLY High Quality. I used they Diamond Black Braided HD break line.

I havent really spent much time looking at the risers on the 1200C so i am not really sure
