So my bike just sent me this txt message...
.......telling me it had a low battery condition. Sure enough, I left my LED accessory lights on last night and it took this long to drain the battery down to the point where an alert was generated. I just now put the charger on it.
I have this GPS tracker/alarm thing from finditnowusa.com on my vrod and it just saved my a*s from having a dead battery next time I went to use my bike. AWESOME! Truly awesome.
I've talked about how it gives me peace of mind before, as it'll alert me by txt any time the bike moves, goes out of a preset area, disconnects the battery, etc... I can even send a txt msg to my bike and it will return its GPS coordinates to me on a google map.
Today though is the first time it ever really paid off, however the peace of mind of knowing that if anyone tries to move my bike I'll know about it and can locate it is very valuable. This is not a paid advertisement.
It cost me about $300 or so if I recall. I installed it in my battery box and after the first year service is about $80/yr. Well worth it, you should seriously consider the investment, considering your investment.

That would only solve that particular situation. Plenty of other reasons to encounter a dead battery. This keeps it from being a surprise. Plenty of other reasons to have this thing - the tracker alone is worth the money. This is no more of a toy than your bike is, IMO. OH, and yes, I do get $100/yr insurance break because of it. Tell me that thing is a toy when your bike gets jacked and you can't find yours.

If I could swing a deal like that I'd have one installed on my bike also. I wasn't trying to be demeaning with "toy". We are all big boys (and girls) with big toys! As far as getting jacked goes, I have the Harley smart alarm w/pager, a heavy cable for overnighting it and insurance for the worst case scenario.
