Really lost with all of this. New to bikes

For me I found the best deal was through Dairyland Insurance. I priced them against Geico and saved almost $200 a year. Make sure you get several quotes before you decide as it varies from driver to driver and state to state.

I'm not sure if i just have a wonder sportster, but seriously, people who complain about sportster suspensions are either delusional or seriously frail. It's stiff. What that means is you'll stay on the road and thunder through corners. No unnecessary bounce or bottoming out.
The only other thing i'll add, i ride my sportster with a herniated disc with forward controls just fine.

Suck for what? As far as a factory cruiser goes, for a performance aspect, hardly no other bike can throw into a corner like the sportster can, which is hugely owed to the stiff and responsive rear suspension.
I weigh 150. The bike weighs almost 600. Most people i've talked to just blandly state 'they suck because i can feel it when i drive over rocks sometimes', which is not a valid argument against a performance oriented system.

Yep! I weight 220 (after a fast) and I have to agree. I have the 883L and even over manhole covers it's jarring. I had an '02 before and the suspension had more travel and I was 40lbs less. I want the 412 shocks so I can feel more comfortable. Oh, I don't care what names anyone would say about me. Since it's my money, my *** and back I'll get any damn thing I want. lol These old bones only care about feeling their best and if they ask for a Mustang seat with backrest and Progressive shocks, well, they'll get them as money allows.

I was at the dealer recently buying some dino juice and they had a used 1200C with the Mustang seat and backrest. Damn that felt amazing. The only issue would be getting on and off the scoot. I can't lift my leg over the backrest so I had to sort of scrunch it over the saddle. With help from me holding my pant leg. Getting old sucks. lol

That mustang seat with the backrest really does wonders though... like sitting in a lay-z-boy all day, every day.
