Well since you have the heads already done on it, that gives you a lot more choices for cam lift. Have you checked out the Andrews cams website? They give a good description of what you can expect from each type of cam setup.

Did the heads make a real noticeable difference on there own? What else are you running on your bike? Got pics?

It really doesn't. The SE heads are just stock decked heads, no real flow improvement (ported or bigger valves).
For the price, there a rip-off IMO.

No offense but why the hell would you get those then? That seems like a waste of money.

So basically they just give a bump in compression but don't really offer any flow benefits? That sucks. I haven't looked into them but I'd imagine for what they cost you probably couldn't pulled the stock heads the proper head/valvetrian work and cams.

Plus the 48 already has a higher compression ratio 10:1 than all the other sportsters. So what do the SE heads put it to?

The 48 has the same compression as all the other 1200 Sportsters 9.7:1... The only one that has more is the XR1200.

The SE bolt ins or the Andrews N4 (both are the same grind) can add anywhere from 5-10HP on the top end of a bike with pipes, a/c and tuner with no head work. They really only extend the torque curve into the higher rev range and add that 5-10 HP between 5500 and 7000 rpm. I've seen around 5 dynos with just these mods on another Sportster forum.

You are right I went back to look at the chart and noticed I was looking at 1 over on it at the xr1200, my bad. Thanks for the correction.
