Blow-by usually means that the crankcase vent system is clogged or the vent value body under the rocker covers is malfunctioning. Another thing that could cause blow by is gummed up rings.
As you run the bike, pressure builds up internally within the motor, it has to go some-wheres..........
Most people forget that these motors are nothing more than modified Pumps.

a hair over the "full" mark or a hair over the "fill". if you're over the "full" mark i'm really surprised you aint blowin anything.

the question wasn't how do i check the oil on my bike it was weather or not to do it on the stand or standing up. i can also remove the rocker cover, that wasn't the question either. id rather let a skilled mechanic work on my motor and that's my preference, dont give a **** what you think really. go back and read your post again dude, had you read the first page in it's entirety you would know we talked about the valves already so you contributed nothing and got all cocky on top of it. my future will be just fine without your vote of confidence but thanks.

Full mark. Think my mistake was the last time I added a bit of oil it was cold oil in a hot tank. I didnt restart to make the cold oil hot THEN recheck. I drained a little so now its just below the full mark. Regardless...............no pissing oil.
