Warranty Question

RE: Warranty Question
You aren't required to have the scheduled maintenance performed at the dealership.
Youor any other mechanic can perform the maintenance shown in the Owners Manual..
Just be sure to keep an accurate maintenance log, and perform the maintenance at recommended (or sooner) intervals.

RE: Warranty Question
Here's an interesting commentary on Warrantys from last month's Thunder Press. A little hard to read in the side-by-side PDF file, but it might be enlightening.

RE: Warranty Question
Randy, good question and a good responce from OldFenderGuy. For more information on this issue, go to http://www.xlforum.net/vbportal/foru...light=warranty for additional warrenty information. My dealer "parts guy" told me, "You know you have to let us do the 1000 mile service." I said, "Great, that means it's free." He quickly changed his mind. I also had the manager "correct him" and got an apology from the manager. If you are qualified, do the work yourself (I used to be a mechanic...not a good one, but have the technical training, so I do the work myself.) or get an indy that you trust.
