Talking Productive Weekend (Pics)

Ive been kicking *** this weekend trying to get some things done before it gets warm enough to ride consistently. You may have seen some of my earlier posts, but heres what I did.

Installed my flush fender brake light: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...ight-pics.html

Installed my LED's and switch:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...lled-pics.html

And tonight I finished ripping off the dull chrome and gloss black pieces and painting them flat black. Heres some pics:

First, the silver headlight trim had to go-

And then the inspection covers-

Had to fix the belt guard to-

The heavy breather was gloss black with these obnoxious chrome plug seals. Btw, if anyone has any recommendations on how to paint the chrome backing plate and endcap without damaging the filter I would appreciate it. Im afraid if I peel them off, they wont stick back on.

And here is a snapshot of the entire right side.

Since I took these pics I have also flipped my mirrors and torn off the rear fender struts to paint those, as well as took the passenger kit off. In the short time I have been a member of this forum, I have learned so much and I appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here. I am also grateful to have a group of people to share my experiences with.

Thanks again!

I absolutely love the tail light! i was thinking about getting something just like it, just gotta pull off my rear fender and chop it up a little bit.

Was it plug-and-play? or did you have to splice wires and the like?

That does look nice. I really like the headlight trim. I'm going to do that this weekend. Can't believe I didn't think of it - I just painted the automated clamp for my speedo and they are exactly the same finish. Thanks for the idea.
