DallasSportster, it looks like you have done a lot more chopping since this thread started...

That is correct. Chop 2.0 was a bit more agressive. I chopped the fender struts and cut the fender even more. I got lots of inspiration from this site.

U can use the old chopped peice for a "stock radius". A black pinstripe would cover up the clear chips (old school pinstriping was for ding and scratch cover ups) Nice work. Cheers.

If you chop the rear struts as you did, will the fender still support 2up?

I would not trust 2-up with chopped struts. I also chopped my fender well past the 2 up seat mounting hole, so mounting the seat is also an issue. I had this in mind when I did it and always figured I would get a bigger bike for 2-up riding.

I deleted my center mount stock tail light and have since added an under fender LED brake light as I wanted better visibility.
I got the module from Harley to convert my rear turn signals. The module seems to plug into the factory brake light that is attached to the fender. Is this what yours did?

The module plugs in under the seat in front of the rear harness. I cut the rear harness and wired the turn signals directly as I deleted the rear taillight.

No problem. A service manual will help you with the wiring. I have since added the under fender tail light from HD so I had to update my wiring. Good luck and PM me if you have any other questions.
