Nope. Nope. Nope. I wouldn't even try this on an enemy's bike. Not that I have any enemies..with bikes.

I think it is essentially the same thing as XIEDs that add in some resistance to make the bike think it is running leaner. I would say you would be better off with the XIEDs as they are a tried and true product that lots of people on here have experience with and they are cheaper. DK one of the forum sponsors sells them on their site.

same concept that they use for newer vehicles. on the cadillac cts v6 no one makes a piggy back tuner, and only 1 company has been able to re-tune and sell the software on some years...but not all.
so a lot of companies are selling performance "chips" that are just resistors to trick your ecu into thinking there is a different readout from whatever sensor it ties into. chances are you mess up your electrical, and if its anything like the cars they eventually learn when the resistor is doing and recalibrate back to stock....if you havent friend the ecu

i did see a vance and hines ecu tuner on ebay for about $250. says it does custom maping that you just download onto it.

im going to be getting something for next summer, after i do the 1200 conversion.

^ If you get a powercommander V from fuel motto they'll pre program it for you once you tell them what you have. Not sure how much they cost from them. They want you to call or email.

When they want you to contact them directly that's when you know things are going to be expensive.

Nope not expensive at all. Fuel Moto sell the Power Commanders for the cheapest you can get them, because they are actually the major research source for DnjoJet. The custom maps and customer service are free when you buy the Power Commander from them. If I bought one it would only be from them, because they are a top notch company that know what they are doing backwards and forwards.

Or, so that they can make sure you get the right product, mapped correctly, for your particular bike. Maybe that's the reason they have such a high customer satisfaction rate.
